Organic Brown Rice Salad
Ingredients:
1 cup organic brown rice 1/4 cup organic chick
peas 1/4 cup organic brown
lentils 1/4 cup wild rice blend
Spices:
1 birds eye chilli, 1
kaffir lime leaf good pinch of sea salt
(at least 1 teaspoon) 1 teaspoon galangal
powder (all of these are
available in the Herbies range at Macro)
As the
chick peas and lentils generally require a 45 minute cooking
time start these along with the spices in around four cups
of water. Bring to the boil and then simmer. After 30
minutes add the brown rice and the wild rice blend. You
may need to more water - keep adding some small
amounts of hot water as required. When the chick peas are cooked
and the water has absorped then the Brown Rice Salad
is ready to be served - hot or cold!
