macro juices
We're proud of our seasonal range of juices, which
use all organic ingredients. We've also carefully designed some of
our juice combinations to offer specific nutritional benefits:
Orange is great for adding a tang to a sweet mix or to enliven a summer fruit cocktail. Try orange, honeydew melon, mint and ginger.
Lemon adds an excellent twist to tomato juice. Try tomato juice, lemon, fresh thyme and hint of chilli
Grapefruit is great for stimulating digestion. The pectin in grapefruit has been shown to have a beneficial effect on cholesterol, and is also a great source of water-soluble fibre, flavonoids, and Vitamin C. Try cucumber, pink grapefruit and celery juice served with a stick of crisp celery.
Apples are a great source of vitamin C, pectin and other fibres that are of benefit to your cardiovascular system and good bowel health. Try apple, celery, carrot and lemon.
Pears are high in pectin, vitamins C and B2, and potassium. Often recommended as a hypoallergenic fruit so are particularly good for people who have a tendency towards allergies. Try pear, lime, apple and mint.
Pineapple is an excellent source of vitamin C, B1 and manganese. Fresh pineapples are rich in bromelain which is an enzyme that not only helps in digestion but is also helpful in reducing inflammation and swelling. Try pineapple, carrot, apple and ginger.
Watermelon offers a sweet perfumed aroma to all juices. Due to a high water content, watermelon is nutrient dense per calorie, and are a good source of Vitamin C, beta-carotene and lycopene. Try watermelon, celery, orange, sprinkle with celery seeds.
Carrot is very high in beta-carotene. Add a drop of olive oil to help your body convert the beta-carotene to vitamin A. Try carrot, orange, ginger and apple.
Beetroot is an excellent source of folic acid and are high in fibre. Also very high in antioxidant flavonoids - hence their wonderful purple colour. Try beetroot, celery, carrot, pear & ginger.
Try some of these great extras to enhance your juice. Available in all Macro Cafes.
