Victoria

Bringing the total number of Melbourne stores to four, our most recent Macro Wholefoods Market store opened in Melbourne on High St, Armadale.

Punters familiar with the site's former guise as the Armadale Hotel won't recognise it!

For 2008, we will be looking closely at bayside locations, as well as venturing into the north and western suburbs of Melbourne.

Two more exciting Melbourne locations will be announced later this year.

NSW

We opened our first stand-alone Macro Cafe in March 2007 on King St, Newtown.

With our Mona Vale store just opened on 30 October 07, we now operate 5 sites in NSW.

For future Sydney stores, we're actively looking in the Sutherland shire, the Hills district, the inner west, and other key locations.

Regional areas

Macro is eager to open in regional centres on the east coast, so to those organic devotees outside Sydney and Melbourne - we haven't forgotten you! Some of the areas we have been exploring include Newcastle, Bowral and Geelong.

QLD, SA and WA

We have received so many emails from customers eager to see Macro stores in other parts of Australia - especially from Queensland and Western Australia. The answer is yes, that's our aim!

We are looking closely at Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and hope to have our first QLD store open in early-2009.

SA and WA may have to wait a little longer - expansion into these states will probably occur late-2009.
