Macro Wholefood Produce Market offers the best in
seasonal organic fruit and vegetables sourced from our range of growers
whose properties stretch from the Northern Territory to Tasmania.
Our
customers regularly comment on the glorious scent and colour of our
fresh produce section, with our products stacked by hand in generous
bins.
We offer many different varieties of apples and oranges as well
as seasonal delicacies such as mushrooms and tropical fruits.
Why
does Macro still stock some conventional produce?
Our
number one priority is to stock organic and biodynamic produce. However,
sometimes due to seasonal restrictions or lack of supply we may stock non-organic. This produce will always be clearly labeled as such, and we always select the highest quality.
However, in
this case, the fruit and vegetables are sourced from growers who are
employing non-impactive, pesticide-free farming methods; or farms that
are transitioning to full organic status (labelled 'organic in conversion').
It is our intention to move towards 100% certified organic produce in all of our stores.
